First…Marcus was AMAZING! Long story long…we started with a land buy and home build but about 3-4 months into the process, we had to pivot and went with a home buy instead. From the start Marcus was all in. During the home build process, we had detailed discussions on what my family and I were looking for and where we were hoping to be with land size and home plans. After we shifted focus to a home buy, Marcus was still there with every detail on why we shifted, to what we needed/wanted, and where we wanted to be in the future years. I mention this because the personal touch that Marcus brought to the process really helped us remain calm through all of it! As frustrating as we were getting because we changed plans, Marcus never became frustrated with us. He reassured us he would help us navigate through it all and made sure we were provided all the information we needed to make the right decision. Trying to purchase a home, navigate the VA process, and get all your questions answered with someone who is geo-dislocated from you sounds intimidating but the level of communication Marcus established and maintained with us was phenomenal. We never felt like we were missing information or forgetting to complete a task! We felt as though we were doing business with someone in-person even though we were 2 states apart! Great team! Great communication! Amazing personal touch!

I first met Marcus through Allegiant Vets while I was transitioning out of the military. Of probably 15 different briefers from similar companies, Marcus was the ONLY one who directly addressed veteran-specific entitlements, rules, and considerations within the VA lending process. He immediately stood out, and that is ultimately why I decided to give him a call. That was nearly 10 months before I actually bought a home. At the time, I had no idea where we would end up or when we would be ready to buy. Marcus stayed in touch about every other month throughout that entire period with absolutely zero pressure. He simply checked in to see if our situation had changed and whether there was anything we needed from him. Once a career opportunity took us to another state and we were ready to buy, Marcus was Johnny on the spot from beginning to end. Over the course of the process, we developed what I would consider a professional friendship. We had numerous calls and conversations covering just about every aspect of the loan and home-buying process. If I didn't understand something, he explained it. If I wanted to see the numbers behind what we were discussing, he provided the math. If I needed another pre-approval letter for an offer, he turned it around quickly. This level of support started well before we ever had a home under contract. What impressed me most was that I never felt like Marcus was simply trying to close a loan. I felt like I had someone in my corner who understood VA lending, understood the unique considerations that come with being a veteran, and genuinely wanted to make sure my family and I were making informed decisions. To top it all off, Marcus was even able to get more money back to us at closing than I had anticipated or identified through my own research. I will 100% go back to Marcus and Formula Lending Group if rates drop and refinancing makes sense. I will continue recommending him to other veterans, friends, and family, and would gladly work with him again anytime our paths cross. Marcus earned my trust and my business months before I actually had any business to give him. I can't think of a better endorsement than that.

Marcus. He seemed confidant, knowledgeable, and caring. But they all do in the early stages. We spoke to Marcus 2-3 times before proceeding, he was extremely patient and understanding that we were a little nervous because we had been having such a horrible experience thus far with our current mortgage holders. Marcus was reassuring and even made sure his supervisors called to touch base and acknowledge that we were being put as high priority. Marcus was 100% hands on and went above and beyond any of our expectations to get out loan completed in something like 2 weeks! Not only did we drop our PMI but he was able to get the rate matched from our other loan company (the one that strung us along for 4 MONTHS!). This was huge because rates were increasing significantly. The fees were lower than what our current mortgage company was charging us, the rate was the same, and the process was absolutely hassle free. We couldn’t believe how quickly and painlessly it was done. But my husband and I both agree that it was solely because of Marcus Dho. The level of product and process knowledge, mixed with a genuinely good and caring human being is how you do business. Marcus Dho made us feel welcome and taken care of. I will likely NEVER leave because of this experience and you now have a customer for life and truthfully that is because of Marcus. I can imagine putting that much care and client attention into your work can be so exhausting, but from Marcus it is so genuine. Marcus is extremely knowledgeable about the products and process mixed with his kindness, I truly hope you know how lucky you are to have him on your team. Thank you Marcus.
